Ha comenzado la temporada de huracanes. Se pronostican numerosas tormentas en toda Centroam\u00e9rica. Es hora de partir y poner a salvo el Amira en el R\u00edo Dulce (Guatemala). Aunque en Utila, la isla m\u00e1s occidental de las Islas de la Bah\u00eda de Honduras, hasta ahora nos hemos librado de una tormenta de verdad. Seis de ellos se agarran a nuestro Amira durante gran parte de la traves\u00eda.  <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los repuestos que pedimos para Utila llegan justo a tiempo en el ferry. Peter instala enseguida la nueva sonda. La antigua hab\u00eda dejado de funcionar en los Cayos Cochinos, aunque la hab\u00edamos comprado en Belice apenas unos meses antes y la hab\u00edamos cambiado por la sonda anterior. Peter tambi\u00e9n desempaqueta de inmediato la junta para el inodoro de nuestro camarote. Desde entonces el inodoro vuelve a funcionar, al menos en teor\u00eda. Porque ahora la bomba de agua se ha estropeado.      <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"Zwischentitel wp-block-paragraph\">Sin agua sin martillazo<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tampoco sale ni una gota de agua de los grifos. Despu\u00e9s de mucho tira y afloja, encontramos al culpable: es el interruptor de presi\u00f3n de agua integrado en la bomba. Peter lo pone en marcha de nuevo a golpes de martillo, y con \u00e9l la bomba. Pero en cuanto dejamos de usar el agua, el interruptor vuelve a atascarse. Cada vez que necesitamos agua, primero tenemos que abrir los grifos y coger el martillo. Cocinar, fregar y cada ida al ba\u00f1o se planifican ahora cuidadosamente. Pero no es tan grave, pronto estaremos en el puerto deportivo.      <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La borrasca que se acerca trae vientos cambiantes. En lugar del habitual viento alisio del este, sopla un viento del oeste. Sopla suavemente en nuestra contra, as\u00ed que navegar a vela no es posible. Navegamos en modo h\u00edbrido: con motor y g\u00e9nova. Solo de vez en cuando tenemos que recoger esta vela de proa. Sin luz de luna no podemos distinguir el mar del cielo. Es como si naveg\u00e1ramos hacia un gran agujero oscuro y profundo. De repente se hace de d\u00eda. Un rel\u00e1mpago sigue a otro. Sobre tierra firme hondure\u00f1a parece estar cayendo un chaparr\u00f3n. No se oye trueno en el Amira, o apenas se oye, as\u00ed que la tormenta parece estar lejos. Cada minuto, los rel\u00e1mpagos iluminan la cubierta blanca del barco. Cuando nos acercamos al cabo Tres Puntas, aparecen dos grandes cargueros en nuestra pantalla (plotter), que est\u00e1n a punto de doblar la esquina. Uno navega directamente hacia nosotros a 16 nudos. Lo llamo por radio, no responde. Mi segundo intento tambi\u00e9n fracasa. Pero el otro carguero s\u00ed responde. Un hombre nos aconseja en un ingl\u00e9s brit\u00e1nico impecable que primero nos dirijamos al fondeadero de Tres Puntas y no vayamos directamente a Livingston, donde tenemos que despachar en Guatemala. Seguimos su consejo. Mientras tanto, el otro carguero ha cambiado de rumbo, as\u00ed que no hay problemas. A la 1 llegamos a Tres Puntas, a las 4.30 seguimos hacia Livingston, para que el banco de arena que tenemos que cruzar todav\u00eda tenga suficiente agua de marea alta sobre \u00e9l.                <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1125\" src=\"https:\/\/sailing-amira.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Ueberfahrt_Utila_Livingston45.jpg\" alt=\"Las gaviotas se han apoderado de una boya frente a Livingston, en Guatemala. Y sin embargo es diferente. La boya roja y blanca que se\u00f1ala el banco de arena frente a Livingston ya no est\u00e1 sola. El camino ahora est\u00e1 claramente marcado con boyas rojas y verdes. Qu\u00e9 bonito, estamos encantados y al mismo tiempo nos sorprende que algunos barcos ya hayan embestido, pasado por encima y decapitado algunas boyas. Aqu\u00ed tiene su negocio la velera Chlo\u00e9. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ya nos sabemos casi de memoria el camino a lo largo del R\u00edo Dulce. En el id\u00edlico Cayo Quemado pasamos la noche de nuevo en el muelle de la velera francesa Chlo\u00e9, que al d\u00eda siguiente con su equipo baja nuestras dos velas. Las reparar\u00e1 y guardar\u00e1 mientras estamos en el astillero del puerto deportivo. Tambi\u00e9n nos deshacemos all\u00ed de nuestra bolsa de basura: el barco de la basura se la lleva. El barco pasa por Cayo Quemado una vez al mes, muy poco, explica Chlo\u00e9. Con la misma alegr\u00eda que ella nos recibe un d\u00eda despu\u00e9s Karen, gerente del puerto deportivo RAM. Ya era hora de que lleg\u00e1ramos aqu\u00ed, porque mientras tanto ni siquiera los martillazos bastan para conseguir agua en el Amira. Y luego aqu\u00ed, en el conocido agujero de huracanes, nos encontramos enseguida con muchos viejos amigos y conocidos navegantes.
